The Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) provides outstanding graduates with an opportunity to pursue in-depth and rigorous research into the pressing challenges of urban sustainability.
You will receive guidance from your University supervisor, be encouraged to develop your independent research skills through our doctoral training initiatives and have full access to Oxford’s research facilities and online resources.

Incorporating the third regional seminar on Weigh-In-Motion, this year’s conference theme is Addressing the new normal and the future of transport. Now in its 40th year the conference will unpack policy, strategy and technology applications for all aspects and modes of transportation. Delegates can look forward to hearing from global transport experts, learning from cutting-edge research papers and networking with southern Africa’s top transport professionals.
