How three European cities are addressing the surge in delivery vehicles

With the boom in online shopping during the pandemic, new challenges have arisen for cities when it comes to managing freight.

Issues around first- and last-mile delivery, congestion and emissions have become more pressing, as well as an increased emphasis on developing a more sustainable infrastructure.

On the sidelines of the recent Cities Today Institute (CTI) City Leadership Forum in Antwerp, Rikesh Shah, the CTI’s Director of Civic Innovation, spoke with transport leaders from Madrid, Lisbon and Krakow about how they are managing the changing landscape.
