Building on this milestone, Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK has been carrying ticketed passengers in open traffic in Stavanger, Norway, since 2022. Early in 2024, it successfully navigated a new, more challenging route that included a tunnel—marking yet another world-first for autonomous vehicles. Autonomous e-ATAK continues to expand its presence, operating projects in countries such as the USA, Norway, Finland, France, Romania, Türkiye, and more. A notable milestone includes an autonomous airport project in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where two Autonomous e-ATAK vehicles will begin operations by 2025 again. This project will make Karsan the first brand in the world to deliver airport transfers using autonomous vehicles. Looking ahead, Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK is set to achieve another first by becoming the first autonomous bus to carry ticketed passengers in open traffic in Arbon, Switzerland, by 2025.
