Global Mobility Call @ IFEMA Madrid
Jun 14 – Jun 16 all-day

Global Mobility Call will gather the world’s top mobility players in Madrid

Global Mobility Call is aimed at becoming the world’s most important event for sustainable mobility. It will contribute to the post-pandemic economic and social recovery and to building much-needed energy resilience in the face of international shocks. Global Mobility Call will bring together leaders across all sectors involved in the development of sustainable mobility policies and business initiatives.

Organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, with the sponsorship and support of the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), Global Mobility Call (GMC) was created as a strategic event to position Spain as the international hub for sustainable mobility, in a decisive context of post-pandemic recovery and in an environment of business development and investment opportunities fostered by the NextGenerationEU funds, the largest stimulus package ever seen in Europe, as well as the European Green Deal, the roadmap to make Europe the first carbon-neutral continent by 2050.

With a global vision, Global Mobility Call will bring together leaders from all sectors to share their vision for the development of sustainable mobility policies and business initiatives at the Madrid Exhibition Centre from 14-16 June 2022. The combined exhibition and congress format will feature the participation of major companies, corporations and multinationals, as well as leading speakers and institutions around the thematic blocks of Tech, Data & Innovation; New Urban Planning; Economic Development & Regulation; Sustainable Transportation; and Future Society.

Light + Building Autumn Edition: Focus on innovations for lighting and building technology

New impulses, personal exchange and innovative solutions are offered by Light + Building Autumn Edition from 2-6 October in Frankfurt am Main. More than 1,500 exhibitors from 46 countries will use the leading international trade fair to present their innovations live to a broad trade audience. Among them are numerous market leaders showing innovations for lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation, and networked security technology. Thus, after the long pandemic-related break, the special edition of Light + Building provides a comprehensive overview of industry trends, new products and innovative solutions. The restart of the industry comes at a time that is more than ever characterised by uncertainty and crises. However, the intensified climate debate, questions about alternative energy sources and mobility concepts are also providing the industry with an environment in which its forward-looking solutions are more in demand than ever. The top themes at the show address these developments. An outlook:

Top themes of the Light + Building Autumn Edition

Light + Building

The top theme “Green Deal & Sustainability” focuses on systems that help to sustainably increase the energy efficiency of buildings and cities. Intelligent, independent and economical control of electricity demand is becoming increasingly important – whether on one’s own property, in the underground car park or in the employer’s building: charging stations for e-cars will play a major role in the future. Smart building and grids are other important buzzwords: People spend a lot of time in buildings. The broad collection and analysis of data can help to improve safety, energy efficiency and environmental compatibility in buildings. „Electrification & Digitalization” focuses on efficient planning, optimal energy use and comfort in buildings. Improved use of resources through the use of artificial intelligence ensures a demand-oriented energy supply for the property. Another top theme of Light + Building 2022 is “Light & Design“. It puts the focus on light in its many forms. Both the quality and the design of lighting play an important role in room and building planning. Sustainability is reflected in the use of natural materials and colours, and likewise in the recycling of resources.

Light + BuildingWhether access restrictions, video surveillance, fire protection or data protection, the demands on integrated security technology are increasing in the building of the future. That’s why “Connectivity + Security” is one of the top themes at Light + Building Autumn Edition. While in the Intersec Building section, exhibitors will present innovations for home and building security, the Intersec Forum from 3-6 October will provide specialist knowledge and an exchange among experts.

In the Light + Building Contactor – the international search engine for lighting and building technology – all companies that have registered are listed. The exhibitors’ profiles with product highlights, videos and presentations can be clearly filtered according to interest and provide a compact overview. More at:

2024 ITF Summit @ Leipziger Messe
May 22 – May 24 all-day

The annual Summit of the International Transport Forum is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the premier global transport policy event.

Every May, ministers with responsibility for transport, business leaders, heads of international organisations, parliamentarians and policymakers, representatives of business associations and leading researchers meet for three days in Leipzig, Germany, to discuss the future of transport through the prism of a strategic topic.

Summit participation has grown to over 1200 participants from more than 80 countries, well beyond the 66 member countries of the ITF. It increasingly attracts business participants, with CEOs joining high-level discussions and companies presenting their work in the Summit exhibition or sponsoring the event. The annual meeting of the ITF Corporate Partnership Board is held as part of the Summit

The 2024 ITF Summit on Greening Transport: Keeping Focus in Times of Crisis will take place from 22 to 24 May in Leipzig, Germany, under the Presidency of Lithuania, with Chile and Azerbaijan as first and second Vice Presidents, respectively.

The 2024 Summit will examine the transport sector’s role in environmental sustainability, and assess the impacts of climate, health and geopolitical crises in this context. With transport responsible for 30% of global CO2 emissions and climate change leading to extreme weather events, the urgency for carbon emission reduction is pivotal. The Covid-19 pandemic and geopolitical conflicts have disrupted the transport sector and supply chains, contributing to an energy crisis and environmental challenges. Decision makers are urged to maintain a long-term policy focus amid these crises, leveraging opportunities like cleaner and automated vehicles and digital innovation to promote a greener and more resilient transport sector. Simultaneously, evaluating the environmental risks associated with increased digitalisation is increasingly crucial.
