1-year Master’s in Urban Housing & Land Justice: Equitable Access to Sustainable Land, Housing & Services

Land, shelter, access to education, medical care, and employment opportunities, remain an unfulfilled need for many leading to urban socio-spatial exclusion, poverty, and homelessness in cities worldwide.

The Urban Housing and Land Justice master track is one of four trajectories in the MSc in Urban Management and Development. It explores and evaluates policies and governance strategies that enable the availability of land, housing, and basic services to all socio-economic groups. These global challenges are also viewed in relation to other key aspects of urban development. Specifically, students will discuss the topics of economics, finance, markets, real estate, sustainable housing, governance, and justice. Participants will experience how these complex processes and structures translate into practice through real-life case studies and practice-oriented workshops. In addition, students can focus on one of the two overarching topics: housing and land.
