AIRPORTECH 2026

The SMart AiRport Technologies (SMART) Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to education in airport technology innovation best practices. To empower the public sector, association membership is free for airport owners and government staff; manifesting our mission to:

• Support airport improvements through best practices research, development, education, training and certification involving state-of-the-art technology innovations.
• Prevent costly setbacks for airport owners and governments, due to improper technology implementations that are not sustainable.

Our flagship annual event, the AIRPORTECH International Symposium, brings together airport owners, airlines, and their solution/service providers to share and learn technology innovation best practices. The symposium highlights the industry’s most innovative success stories, and honors outstanding contributors at AIRPORTECH’s SMART Awards Dinner Banquet.

A major highlight for AIRPORTECH 2026, taking place adjacent to Miami Int’l Airport (MIA) February 3-6, is the Eagles Nest, a new high-energy forum where innovators and startups showcase emerging technologies before a panel of seasoned airport professionals — it’s like “Shark Tank meets Airport Innovation”
