About Us

2010

Cities Today was launched as the first global magazine to contain analysis, comment and best practices on sustainable urban development, connecting local governments with public and private sector solutions.

The publication has become one of the leading knowledge platforms for city leaders for mobility, IoT, safety and security, resilience and resource efficiency.

2015

Cities Today launched a series of peer-to-peer meetings, now called the City Leadership Forums, to increase knowledge sharing and create new models of engagement between cities and other key stakeholders.

With a roundtable format for 20 city leaders meeting every six months in invitation-only sessions, the emphasis is on in-depth discussion to tackle what is and is not working in cities in terms of delivering sustainable and inclusive services.

2019

Having organised 20 meetings in North America, Latin America and Europe, Cities Today launched the Cities Today Institute in 2019.

Chaired by Bob Bennett, former Chief Innovation Officer of Kansas City, the mission of the institute is to assist community leaders to design and implement policies, strategies and projects, by providing training and leadership forums, peer-to-peer mentoring, research, and an online community for city officials.
