A key area of this year’s IFSEC International, which will be held from 16-18 June 2015 at ExCeL London, will be the Safe Cities Conference and Exhibition. Driven by education from leading industry experts along with the foremost technology and solution providers showcasing the latest innovations, Safe Cities will be the first conference and exhibition dedicated to the security requirements of a city rather than the individual component parts that make up the city.

Safe Cities will be a key education stream for Government and IT professionals to learn about how security is underpinning the smart cities concept and what processes are being used to ensure global cities are kept safe.

2015 has already tested the security industry and as threats continue to evolve, city authorities are under enormous pressure to cope with the common, expected and unexpected threats. IFSEC International has been at the heart of the security industry for over 40 years and this year it will continue to showcase the future of the industry alongside groundbreaking content.

Now in its second year Safe Cities also returns with an exciting partnership with Euralarm, the association of European manufacturers, installers and service providers of the electronic Fire Safety and Security industry, who will run a new half-day conference Smart Cities: Safer & Secure that will explore how those responsible for protecting key assets can obtain the tools to ensure smart cities remain safe and secure.

IFSEC International will once again be presented as part of UBM EMEA’s Protection & Management Series. The Protection & Management Series encompasses five major shows in related marketplaces covering safety, service management, facilities, security and fire. The overall ethos of the series is about protecting and managing buildings and places of work, along with the people and information within those places of work.
