Indigov and NLC partner to modernise city engagement

The National League of Cities (NLC) has launched NLC Outreach, a new constituent engagement platform developed with Indigov, aimed at transforming how local governments communicate with residents.

The platform is built on technology already used by over 1,500 officials in 47 US states, covering 230 million Americans. Cities using the system have reported communication reach increasing by up to 20 times and engagement rates nearing 50 percent. It combines multi-channel messaging—via email, text and mail—with built-in constituent relationship management (CRM) and segmentation tools.

Exclusively available to NLC member cities, towns and villages, NLC Outreach is designed to streamline digital communications, strengthen transparency and support more responsive public services.

“As a former mayor, I’m thrilled to bring this powerful platform to our members,” said Clarence E. Anthony, CEO and Executive Director of the NLC. “It’s built specifically for cities that are serious about strengthening community engagement and delivering better, faster and more responsive public services.”

The CRM features allow governments to track resident interactions, identify patterns in service delivery and reduce repetitive tasks. According to the NLC, this helps city staff save time while improving how they respond to local needs.

“Government leaders need modern tools to meet the needs and expectations of the people they serve,” said Indigov CEO Alex Kouts. “We built NLC Outreach to help government work better for everyone. Partnering with the National League of Cities allows us to bring that vision to municipalities nationwide.”

NLC Outreach is now available to NLC members as part of the organisation’s wider effort to support local governments with modern, scalable technology solutions.
