Annual POLIS Conference 2026
Rue Bara 175
1070 Bruxelles
Belgium
The Annual POLIS Conference 2026 will bring together urban mobility professionals, policymakers, city and regional representatives, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss the future of sustainable mobility and innovation in cities. Hosted at THE EGG in Brussels, Belgium, the two-day event will feature high-level plenary sessions, breakout discussions, networking opportunities, and an expanded exhibition space showcasing the latest developments in urban mobility.
The conference will open with an inspiring keynote address from Margriet van Schijndel-de Nooij, Programme Director for Responsible Mobility at the Technical University of Eindhoven, setting the stage for our Opening Plenary, ‘Human or Not? Governing AI and Automation for Better Mobility’, which will explore the ever-increasingly relevant role of AI in the transport industry today. Rawad Choubassi, Managing Director for Systematica, will be the keynote speaker for our Closing Plenary, ‘Home Is Where the Car Is? Connecting Housing and Sustainable Mobility’, which will examine the critical relationship between where we live, how we travel, and how cities can create more sustainable futures.
A new addition to the conference will be eight hosted parallel sessions, organised by leading organisations and EU-funded projects. These sessions will offer deeper insight into some of the most pressing challenges facing cities and regions today, while showcasing practical solutions and sharing knowledge from across Europe.
Whether your focus is smart mobility, governance and integration, or safety and security, our themed parallel sessions let guests exchange knowledge, learn, and discover innovative projects in the areas that interest them most.
