
Nominees revealed for FT/Citi urban awards

The Financial Times and Citi announced the finalists today for the inaugural FT/Citi Ingenuity Awards, which will be presented at a special dinner in New York on 5 December 2012.
The finalists have been chosen in the categories of Education, Energy, Health and Infrastructure for demonstrating originality, efficiency and impact in meeting urban challenges.
The nominees are:

“We were delighted by the quality of entries, which came from all over the world,” said Michael Skapinker, Assistant Editor and Editor of Special Reports at the Financial Times. “We were particularly impressed by how many of the ideas submitted had already been implemented successfully.”
Submissions were received from 41 countries and the judging panel includes a mix of eminent architects and urban specialists headed by co-chairs Edwin Heathcote, the FT’s own architecture correspondent, and Bruno Lanvin, Executive Director at the business school INSEAD.
